Is McCain a Better Choice Than Obama?

DEMOCRATS MOBILIZING TO HIT NETWORKS IN THE POCKETBOOK

A group of Democrats are mobilizing to hit
the networks, who have publicly and openly shunned and abused Hillary
for Obama’s sake despite gross differences in qualifications for the
President position. The group is calling for all women involved to
write to advertisers on the stations that should they not remove the
advertising content, we will boycott their products.

This campaign will start June 23rd and will go on until advertisers
will start pulling their advertising. Following are some companies
which presently run advertising on NBC.

we'll remember in november"

Let the Games Begin....

It appears the General Election has begun. The new presumptive nominee now has his work cut out for him. The media has finally begun to look into Obama's past. Today the Associated Press finally did a little of what they should have done months ago.

McCain versus Obama

It would indeed be a sad day to have an old, tired bureaucrat in the White House, who would undoubtedly give us 4 more years of Bush.

There is no doubt that he is an experience, principled man. But, the definition of insanity says it all: "doing the same thing and expecting different results."

I live overseas and its becoming increasingly difficult to be proud of being an American. We treat countries and individuals now with such arrogance that something I read is now very true: "We are becoming a people who never have to say 'I'm sorry" to anyone for anything!"

It’s a Tie! (Popular Votes v. Pledged Delegates)

Congratulations to both Democratic frontrunners!

Here are the final totals:

POPULAR VOTE (all primaries and caucuses)
Hillary Clinton: 17,785,009
Barack Obama: 17,479,990

PLEDGED DELEGATES
Barack Obama: 1766.5
Hillary Clinton: 1639.5

Do you believe Senator Hillary Clinton should run as an Independent candidate for President?

Obama campaign says it needs GOP voters more than Hillary's

It has been a hard-fought and sometimes bitter campaign, but Obama is not, one of his senior advisers assured me Tuesday night, going to spend a lot of time in the next few months wooing Clinton supporters whose feelings may be hurting.

“I think there are always immediate feelings of disappointment and anger,” Anita Dunn said. “But in the months ahead, he must appeal not just to the constituency groups who favored her in the primaries, but those he wants in the general election, and that includes independents and Republicans.”

Call to action

We need Hillary to stay in the race. We can work outside Dem Party boundaries to prressure our elected reps. The 18 million who voted HRC have the power to change our party but more importantly our country.

I have a couple of ideas. We can organize a letter writing campaign to elected reps (esp the ones who went against "the will of the people" in their districts. The other idea is to boycott sponsors - MSNBC and their sexist attacks and CNN who have several Obma supporters among their "political team".

The Obama We Don't Know

One day after proclaiming Obama the nominee the press decides it is time to ask questions. from the WSJ

"Yet govern how and to what end? This is the Obama Americans don't know. For all of his inspiring rhetoric about bipartisanship, his voting record is among the most partisan in the Senate. His policy agenda is conventionally liberal across the board – more so than Hillary Clinton's, and more so than that of any Democratic nominee since 1968.

"You know, I understand that a lot of people are asking, what does Hillary want? . . . I want the nearly 18 million Americans who voted for me to be respected, to be heard and no longer to be invisible."

What’s on the Michelle Obama Rant Tape?

The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st
2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity
United Church: specifically the Women’s Event.

Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks.

Bill Clinton spoke during the Conference, as did Bill Cosby and other speakers, but not at the panel Michelle attended.

Michelle Obama spoke at the Women’s Event, but referenced Bill
Clinton in her rant — his presence at the conference was the impetus
for her raving, it seems.

Decisions, Decisions

A great perspective on yesterday's seating of FL and MI. HRC can now not only claim but cannot be denied that she is popular vote leader.

"
The 50% solution for Florida was disappointing, but not the worst that could happen. They still get added into the total votes needed, Hillary is able to formally count the popular vote there as part of her total, Floridians will support her in the fall and will punish Obama.
